What do we believe at Trinity? Well, a lot of things, many of which we don’t always agree on. We believe the life of faith is a journey that evolves over a lifetime. The Episcopal Church joins with Christians across the world, and across time, in holding the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed at the center of our tradition. In reciting and affirming these creeds, we affirm our faith in the one God who creates us, redeems us, and sanctifies us.
You may think of our baptismal covenant, the promises we make in baptism and reaffirm in confirmation or reception, as a statement of what it means to follow Christ. It is a combination of questions, first about our creeds and beliefs and then about the consequences of living a life with Christ. At Trinity we firmly believe that following Jesus means living a life outside the walls of our church that models the loving, liberating, life-giving message of God in Christ.
